Relationship between Two FCA Approaches on Heterogeneous Formal Contexts

چکیده
We show a relationship between two theoretical approaches of Formal Concept Analysis working with so-called heterogeneous formal context i.e. such context in which each object and attribute can have own data-type. One of them is presented in [19]; each value in a formal context is some Galois connection between the lattices corresponding to the appropriate object and attribute. Another approach is presented in our paper [1] and it is a unifying platform of approaches from [14] and [11], [12]. In this paper, we prove that each of them can be derived from another.

Note on formal contexts of generalized one - sided concept lattices ∗
Generalized one-sided concept lattices represent one of the conceptual data mining methods, suitable for an analysis of object-attribute models with the different types of attributes. It allows to create FCA-based output in form of concept lattice with the same interpretation of concept hierarchy as in the case of classical FCA. The main aim of this paper is to investigate relationship between ...
متن کاملFCA-Map results for OAEI 2016
FCA-Map is an automatic ontology matching system based on Formal Concept Analysis (FCA), which is a well developed mathematical model for analyzing individuals and structuring concepts. More precisely, we construct three types of formal contexts and extracts mappings from the lattices derived. Firstly, token-based formal context describes how class names, labels and synonyms share lexical token...
متن کاملFormal Contexts, Formal Concept Analysis, and Galois Connections
Formal concept analysis (FCA) is built on a special type of Galois connections called polarities. We present new results in formal concept analysis and in Galois connections by presenting new Galois connection results and then applying these to formal concept analysis. We also approach FCA from the perspective of collections of formal contexts. Usually, when doing FCA, a formal context is fixed...
متن کاملFormalizing ICD coding rules using Formal Concept Analysis
BACKGROUND With the 11th revision of the International Classification of Disease (ICD) being officially launched by the World Health Organization (WHO), the significance of a formal representation for ICD coding rules has emerged as a pragmatic concern. OBJECTIVES To explore the role of Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) on examining ICD10 coding rules and to develop FCA-based auditing approaches ...
متن کاملUsing Formal Concept Analysis for Heterogeneous Information Retrieval
With the advent of the Web along with the unprecedented amount of information coming from sources of heterogeneous data, Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) is more useful and practical than ever, because this technology addresses important limitations of the systems that currently support users in their quest for information. In this paper, we will focus on the unique features of FCA for searching i...
